Zachary Levenson is now an assistant professor of sociology at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. He studies the political struggles of populations who are viewed as surplus to capitalist societies in the global South. Based on his work on mass land occupations in Cape Town, he is completing a book, Delivery and Dispossession, about displacement.
