Steven Ashby is a labor historian and labor/community organizer. He is a professor at the School of Labor and Employment Relations, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He authored A Fight for the Soul of Public Education: The Story of the Chicago Teachers Strike and co-authored, with C.J. Hawking, of Staley: The Fight for a New American Labor Movement.
