Lisa Hajjar is a professor of sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her work focuses on the Israeli military court system in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and on issues of human rights and torture internationally, including only that implemented by the United States. She is a co-editor of Jadaliyya.
