Alice M. Azure is a poet and member of the St. Louis Poetry Center. Her writings have appeared in Yellow Medicine Review, Studies in American Indian Literatures and The Florida Review. Her memoir is Along Came a Spider; her book of poetry, Games of Transformation was selected in 2011 as the poetry book of the year by Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers. A Mi’kmaq Métis, her roots are in the Kespu’kwitk District (Yarmouth) of Nova Scotia.
