W. Kim Heron has hosted a weekly “vanguard tradition” jazz program on Detroit public radio. He was a striking and locked-out Detroit Free Press writer. After 30 years working in journalism and broadcasting, he became senior communications officer for the Kresge Foundation. He can occasionally be found in a jazz club playing the bongos.
