Tamás Krausz is professor of Russian history at the Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences in Budapest and head of its Department of Eastern European Studies. In 2015 he won the Deutscher Memorial Prize for his Reconstructing Lenin: An Intellectual Biography. He has been a labor and political activist.
