Steve Babson is a retired labor historian and activist with Detroit Eviction Defense. He is the author of Working Detroit: The Making of a Union Town and Lean Work: Empowerment and Exploitation in the Global Auto Industry. He co-authored, with Dave Riddle and David Elsila The Color of Law: Ernie Goodman, Detroit, and the Struggle for Labor and Civil Rights.
