Michael Viola is associate professor at Saint Mary’s College of California in the Justice, Community & Leadership program and affiliate faculty in the Ethnic Studies program. He earned a PhD in Education with an emphasis in urban schooling from the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests are in critical pedagogy, critical methodologies, race studies, political economy, labor and the Philippines.
