Marc Becker (marc@yachana.org) is an historian of the Latin American left. Among his recent publications are Contemporary Latin American Revolutions (Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, 2022); The CIA in Ecuador (Duke University Press, 2020) and The FBI in Latin America: The Ecuador Files (Duke University Press, 2017). He is currently working on a book on Philip Agee and the CIA in Ecuador in the early 1960s. Becker has also written Mariátegui and Latin American Marxist Theory (1993) and edited and translated, with Harry E. Vanden, José Carlos Mariátegui: An Anthology (2011).
