Jennifer Wingard is associate professor of Rhetoric, Composition, and Pedagogy and a faculty affiliate to the Women’s Studies Program at the University of Houston. Her scholarship focuses on the impact of global neoliberal economics on civil, democratic discourses. She is currently working on a monograph, No Zoning! the Rhetoric of Equality in Neoliberal Places that examines how representations of the “Texas Miracle” (dis)connect with the lived experiences of those living in the major metropolitan areas of Texas.
