Jamie Owen Daniel taught in the English department at the University of Illinois at Chicago for nine years and still teaches intermittently in the gender studies program at Northwestern University. She has been active in Chicago Jobs with Justice, Workers’ Rights Board, the Coalition to Protect Public Housing and the Marxist Literary Group.
