Hyman P. Minsky was a professor of economics at Washington University in St. Louis until his retirement in 1990. He developed his analytical “financial fragility” framework in Can ‘It’ Happen Again? Essays on Instability and Finance (1982) and Stabilizing an Unstable Economy (1986). Minsky is also the author of John Maynard Keynes (1975). He died in 1996.
