Frank Thompson retired from teaching in the Residential College and in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His most recent research has centered on intergenerational justice, i.e., how much should we save and how fast should we deplete nonrenewable natural resources. He has traveled to Cuba for more than two decades. In October 2021 he died of cancer.
