Eusi Kwayana is a Guyanese elder from the historic village of Buxton, which was a base of anti-colonial opposition. Later it provided African support for the radical nationalist movement. In the course of a 50-year political life, he has helped organize rate-payers, farmers, sugar workers, the landless and bauxite workers.
