Elizabeth Kai Hinton is an American historian and professor in the departments of History and African and African American Studies at Harvard University. Her research focuses on the persistence of poverty and racial inequality in the 20th United States. She co-edited, with Manning Marable, The New Black History: Revisiting the Second Reconstruction (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011).
