Edna Bonachich has researched garment workers in the Los Angeles area and was a founding member of Common Threads, a women’s group formed to educate people about supporting garment workers’ organizing. She has also studied the growth of the supply chain and the rise of logistics, co-authoring with Jake B. Wilson Getting the Goods: Ports, Labor, and the Logistics Revolution (2008). She is professor emeritus of sociology, University of California, Riverside.
