Donald Filtzer has written several books on the Soviet working class, including Soviet Workers and the Collapse of Perestroika 1985-1991 (1994) and Soviet Workers and De-Stalinization: The Consolidation of the Modern System of Soviet Production Relations 1953-1964 (2002). He teaches Russian and European Studies at the University of East London.
