Benjamin Balthaser is the author of Anti-Imperialist Modernism: Race and Transnational Culture from the Great Depression to the Cold War (University of Michigan Press, 2016). His collection of poems, Dedication, from Partisan Press, chronicles the lives of blacklisted Jewish communists during the Cold War. He is an associate professor of multi-ethnic literature at Indiana University in South Bend.
