Anne Finger is the author of Past Due: A Story of Disability, Pregnancy and Birth (1993), Bone Truth(1994) and Call Me Ahab: A Short Story Collection (2009). She has taught creative writing at Wayne State University in Detroit and at the University of Texas at Austin. She was the president of the Society for Disability Studies and continues to be an activist.
