Alan Sears is a Professor Emeritus retired from the Department of Sociology at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is a long-time socialist, queer activist and theorist of movements. He latest book is Eros and Alienation: Capitalism and the Making of Gendered Sexualities (Pluto Press).
