Al Kagan is African Studies Bibliographer and Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. He is a long-time member of the Action Council of the Social Responsibilities Round Table of the American Library Association, and on the Editorial Collective of the Public i, a local alternative newspaper in-print and online.
