Abbie Bakan is a professor in the Department of Social Justice in Education (SJE) at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. She is co-editor, with Enakshi Dua, of Theorizing Anti-Racism: Linkage in Marxism and Critical Race Theories. Other publications include co-editing, with Diva K. Stasiulis, Negotiating Citizenship: Migrant Women in Canada and the Global System and, with Eleanor MacDonald, Critical Political Studies: Debates and Dialogues from the Left. She has been active in Palestine solidarity for many years and is on the coordinating committee of Ideas Left Out in Toronto.
