Myrna Santiago is a professor of Latin American history and directs the Women & Gender Studies program at Saint Mary’s College of California. Her research focuses on environmental history, specifically the oil industry in Mexico. She is currently researching the history of the 1972 earthquake that destroyed Managua, Nicaragua.
