Martin Espada

Martin Espada has been called “the Latino poet of his generation” and “the Pablo Neruda of North American authors.” He has published more than 15 books as a poet, editor, essayist and translator. He is a professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he teaches poetry. Espada has also been a tenant lawyer.
