Kevin Young is an assistant professor of history at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He previously worked as an independent journalist in El Salvador and is the author of Blood of the Earth: Resource, Nationalism, Revolution, and Empire in Bolivia, 1927-1971 (University of Texas Press, 2017).
